Things sometimes reached the point of absurdity. I remember I had a friend who had a lot of complexes about being short. After reading about the power of the subconscious, he perked up and began to ask the universe for the missing 10 centimeters. I think the outcome is clear to you. Naturally, he didn't get any taller. But he just wasted a lot of time and aggravated his inferiority complex.

Before you put something on a card, make sure that this is exactly what you want. Otherwise, you will spend your whole life chasing the ghosts of other people’s goals. Just because your neighbor dreams of a new car doesn't mean you should too. Everyone has different priorities and you need to decide on them before you start making a map.

Look deeper inside yourself and determine what you want with every fiber of your soul. If any doubts arise, think 10 times whether you need it.

Make sure you are ready to work towards making your dreams come true

As I already said, the card does not work if you do nothing. It is a visual application for practical work. To get what you didn't have, you need to start doing what you haven't done before.

Let's say you pasted an image of a cozy country house on a card. You can't afford it now. But we are ready to find an additional source of income and work tirelessly so that after a while we can save up for our dream. The map will provide a surge of motivation to work on the goal and help convert efforts into results.

Concentrate on what's in your control

Let's take another less obvious example. You are lonely and really want to find your soulmate, so put a photo of happy people in wedding dresses on the card. The fulfillment of this desire depends not only on you. You cannot take the person you like and forcefully drag him to the registry office. Step 1. Select material for the card

You can use whatman paper or a cork board as a basis for your wish map. Or you can make a map electronically on a computer. The last option is much simpler, but less universal. I recommend it to people who spend most of their time behind a computer screen. Then the map can be placed on the desktop and always kept before your eyes.

Making a card yourself is much preferable. Direct contact helps to establish a connection with the card and charge it with emotions. The classic version is on a large sheet of thick paper. More modern - on a cork board. Choose which one you like.

I personally lean towards cork boards. They are strong, durable and reusable. After all wishes have been fulfilled, the board can be cleaned and new ones can be added. It will preserve the memory of your successes. In addition, such a wish card will fit perfectly into the interior, unlike whatman paper, which will lose its appearance over time.

Step 2. Divide the map into sectors and select pictures

Traditionally, in the art of Feng Shui, the map is usually divided into 9 sectors and placed in a certain way, as in the picture below. It is recommended to paint each sector with a corresponding color to enhance the effect. The number of desires must be balanced, i.e. the same number in each sector. They need to be filled out sequentially, without jumping from one to another. Have you started filling the “Wealth” sector? This is what we do until we finish.

Pictures can be cut out from magazines, downloaded from the Internet and printed, or drawn yourself. I always choose the second option, since I’m not good at drawing, and the choice in magazines is very limited.

There are general rules when selecting images:

1. They should be emotionally charged and resonate with you. You shouldn’t chase brightness and beauty, the main thing is your feelings.
2. All images should have a positive vibe. Nothing that makes you sad and despondent.
3. Try to avoid black and white images.
4. The more accurately you match the picture to your desire, the better. Do you want a new car? Find a photo of a specific model. Do you dream of your own home? Choose the most similar option.
5. You can go ahead and insert your photo into the selected image using Photoshop. For example, put yourself behind the wheel of a car or place yourself against the backdrop of the Eiffel Tower.

Let's look at all 9 sectors in detail. As an example, I indicated one desire in each sector from my map. You can take it as an example.

• Sector “I”

It is located in the center and is responsible for the condition of the body. Here you need to place a photo in which you are happy and satisfied with yourself. Around it will be desires related to health, well-being, and appearance. For example, become slimmer, have clear skin, do yoga, correct your posture, get rid of headaches, etc.

On my last wish card in this sector, I placed an image of a snow-white, even smile, because I have long dreamed of correcting my bite.

• Sector “Wealth”

This is the place for material desires. Here you can place an image of a car, a smartphone, a new washing machine, a Chanel handbag, etc. Just please be realistic. You shouldn’t create luxury items that are only available to members of the Forbes list. The bar of aspirations should not be too high.

Images of money, of course, can also be attached, but it is not advisable. Still, you need to imagine what this money will be used for. If you are involved in investments, you can display your desire on the map in the form of the percentage of profit that you would like to receive in the coming year.

On my wish map in this sector is an image of a design project for an apartment, what it will be like after renovation.

• Sector “Self-realization and glory”

This sector is responsible for recognition of your merits by other people. Think about the areas in which you would like to receive feedback. Perhaps you are interested in sports and dream of winning competitions. Then you can glue a collage of cups and medals onto the card.

If you are a creative person, rave reviews and high ratings from your colleagues can be an indicator of recognition. For bloggers - likes, for intellectuals - literacy, for photographers - publication of works in magazines.

I play “What? Where? When?" and I really like to win. That’s why I placed an image of a certificate for 1st place on the wish card.

• Sector “Love and Marriage”

If you already have a partner or spouse, you can post a photo of you together in this sector. It will work to harmonize and strengthen the union. Perhaps there is a specific aspect of the relationship that you want to work on. For example, find new joint hobbies or resolve disagreements on some issue. Show this on the map.

If you haven’t found a soulmate yet, find an image of a happy couple in love. It is desirable that the people depicted are somewhat similar to you and your ideal chosen one. Just don’t need to paste a photo of a specific person you like. Until he reciprocates, you cannot associate dreams of love with him.

• Sector “Children and creativity”

Children are the key creation in everyone's life. If you are planning to have children in the near future, then place the corresponding pictures in this area. These could be photographs of cute little ones or happy pregnant women. Or the generally accepted symbols of childbirth: stork, cabbage, cradle.

For those who are not yet ready for children or, on the contrary, have already become a happy parent, you need to think about how you can express yourself in creativity. Surely you have at least one hobby in which you create something new. Painting, music, poetry, dancing, cooking, sewing, knitting, modeling. Choose pictures according to your favorite area.

I have a son and my husband and I are not planning to have children in the near future. Therefore, my desire is connected with creativity. I have long dreamed of publishing a collection of stories about my father and placed an image of the book on the map.

• Sector “Travel”

Here we place photographs of the corners of the earth that you would like to visit. These can be specific geographical points, for example, the top of Everest, or abstract beautiful places that reflect your preferences, for example, the ocean coast, a ski resort.

You can also attach photos of famous events that you want to attend. For example, a Brazilian carnival, the World Cup or a concert of your favorite rock band.

Here I allowed myself to roam. Added photos of Iceland, Brazil and North Korea.

• Sector “Career”

Pay special attention to this sector, since work is one of the main areas of life. Here you need to place your professional goals, career ambitions, and the results you want to achieve. How can you display all this visually? For example, in the form of a graph or diagram, where growth is clearly visible. Or in the form of numbers indicating specific indicators: the number of new clients, profit for the next quarter, salary growth.

If you dream of opening a business, choose a picture related to your chosen niche. For example, a photo of a flower stall, bakery, cosmetics store.

I recently started working on my internet project. Currently he is my priority. That’s why I reflected it on the wish map.

• Sector “Knowledge”

A person should not stop in his development. It is very important to constantly learn something new. This sector is responsible for this process. Think about what knowledge and skills would be useful to you in life right now. Perhaps it’s worth taking some courses, learning a foreign language, and even learning how to cook in the end! There are a lot of learning opportunities these days. All information is available on the Internet.

If you are just on the threshold of adulthood after graduating from high school, you can stick a photo of the university you want to enroll on your card. If studying at the institute is already a completed stage, choose pictures that correspond to the area of ​​​​knowledge that you want to improve. For those who are going to gnaw on the granite of science on their own, I can recommend the image of a textbook or self-instruction manual.

Since childhood I dreamed of learning to sing, and finally the time has come. I hope the card will help me fulfill this desire.

• Sector “Family”

In this sector we place all desires related to family. Both with the family that you yourself created, and with your parents. If there are disagreements and misunderstandings with one of your relatives, you can draw a picture of you holding hands. If someone in the family is sick or experiencing difficulties, paste a photo of him healthy and happy.

Choose pictures that convey the warmth of home. For example, a photo of children and parents playing board games near the fireplace. Or a photo of a grandmother with her grandchildren in the village at breakfast. Think about what you associate with a happy family.

Thank God, everything is fine in my family life now. By the way, largely thanks to the previous wish cards. In this sector I posted a happy photo with my closest family members.

Step 3. Sign your wishes

You need to choose suitable captions for the images. They should be simple, specific and affirmative. You need to write about your desires as if they were a fait accompli. Not “I want a new iPhone,” but “I have a new, latest model iPhone.” Not “I want to weigh 50 kg,” but “my weight is 50 kg.”

Step 4. Activate the card

In order for the card to start working, it is recommended to symbolically activate it. To do this, you need to make a small wish that you can fulfill in a short time, and attach a corresponding image. This could be some kind of purchase, attending an interesting event, reading a book, watching a movie. As soon as it is executed, the card will begin to work.

Step 5. Choose a place to store the card

A wish card is a very personal and intimate thing; it is best to protect it from prying eyes. But at the same time, it should catch your eye at least 5-6 times a day. If you live alone, you can safely hang the map on the wall in front of your bed. You will wake up and fall asleep thinking about your innermost dreams. When guests arrive, the card will need to be removed and put away.

If you share your home with other people, it is better to find a more secluded place for the card. You can hang it on the inside of a cabinet door, for example. You will keep your eyes on it every time you need to take something.

Common mistakes

1. Images may not be selected correctly. There is no positive energy or double meaning.
2. Desires are expressed incorrectly. We have already described above how to sign a card.
3. Unrealistic requests. You cannot make wishes that you know will not come true for objective reasons. For example, your salary is 25 thousand, but the chance is small that your salary in the same position will be increased to 150 thousand.
4. One of the map zones is not filled in or wishes are not written.
5. The card is not activated. To do this, you need to write a wish so that it will definitely come true. For example, “I bought new sneakers.”

Important nuances

For the card to work to its maximum, you need to know something else:

1. Do not start making when you are tired, in a bad mood, or depressed. Otherwise, you will anchor this state and every time you look at the map, you will return to it.
2. Set aside a couple of hours when no one will distract you. You can turn on relaxing music and light candles to get into the right mood. Before creating a collage, visualize your desire well and charge it with positive emotions.
3. The lifespan of the card is 1–3 years. Keep this in mind when formulating your wishes.
4. You should only have one card at a given time. Therefore, first deal with the old one and only then create a new one.
5. Wish cards came to us from Feng Shui. Even if you do not believe in this teaching, try to follow the recommendations regarding the placement of sectors and the selection of colors. There are also rules for choosing production time. The most favorable period is 2 weeks after Chinese New Year. If you don’t have time, make a map during the waxing Moon.
6. Keep old used copies as a keepsake. Review them from time to time to remind yourself how many wishes have already been fulfilled.
7. It happens that some desires lose their relevance before they have time to come true. In this case, carefully peel off the corresponding image and stick a new one. With a cork board it is much easier in this regard.

The image of this goal should be in the most visible place. For example, you may be dreaming of some unusual decoration, go out and buy it immediately to start the mechanism of driving other items displayed on your plan.

How to start an energy flow

Most often, the work of translating thoughts from your head into reality begins at the moment when you have just begun to transfer them to paper. In the process, you use visualization methods, imagining pasted-up pictures in reality. But the fulfillment of the first wish will also push the energy flow emanating from the card and stimulate the fulfillment of all subsequent ones.

My experience using the card

I first learned about the wish map at school. I was very inspired by the idea that you can connect your subconscious to making your dreams come true. But unfortunately, due to lack of experience or general immaturity, I was unable to use this tool correctly.

Remembering the wishes that were pasted on my first card, it becomes funny and sad at the same time. There was a photograph of a boy I liked, a scene of “Star Factory” cut out from a magazine, and several more absurd desires that had nothing to do with reality.

As I grew older, I learned from my first bad experience and tried not to repeat the mistakes. The most dear wish to my soul, fulfilled with the help of the card, was a trip to the USA under the student exchange program. It was not easy to implement it - we had to overcome a lot of obstacles. Get a visa, find an employer in America willing to hire me, negotiate with the dean, pass the exam ahead of schedule and defend my course work. In the end, everything worked out in the best way for me.

Another wish I want to tell you about is related to my childhood dream. After watching the movie “Point Break,” I really wanted to learn to surf. I never gave up on this dream, even as I grew older. And when I turned 25, I finally decided to place it on my wish map.

That year I got married. All thoughts were about the wedding. I decided to postpone the rest of my plans until later, when all the fuss had subsided. One day I was browsing the Internet, choosing a place for my honeymoon, and an advertisement for a surf camp in Morocco caught my eye. "Here it is!" – I thought! My search is over.

As a result, my husband and I spent the entire honeymoon conquering the waves from morning to evening. It was a truly exciting adventure, the memory of which still warms my heart.
